Description

General Appearance: An evergreen succulent shrub featuring flexible, reddish-brown woody stems. It has a compact, branching growth habit that easily resembles a miniature tree or bonsai.

Foliage (Leaves): Small, oval-shaped, thick, and fleshy leaves designed to store water. They have a glossy bright green color (variegated varieties feature cream or yellow margins).

Hardiness & Climate: Extremely resilient, drought-tolerant, and heat-resistant. It thrives beautifully in warm, sunny, and arid environments.

Watering: Very low maintenance; requires infrequent watering. The soil must be allowed to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot.

Light Requirements: Prefers full sun to bright, indirect light. Receiving a few hours of direct sunlight daily helps maintain its dense foliage and vibrant color.

Usage: Perfect as an outdoor ornamental plant in xeriscapes (dry gardens) or as a low-maintenance indoor plant near sunny windows. It is also highly popular for bonsai styling and is exceptionally easy to propagate from stem cuttings.
