Description

Ferns are herbaceous plants that include about 40 species. This plant is not difficult to care for and can grow well indoors.

Leaves:

The small, perforated fronds of the fern are dissected into toothed, rectangular parts.

They are light green in color, while the older leaves are greenish-yellow. Small fronds, or what are called pinnae,

form throughout the entire growing season. In late autumn, their growth stops, and the fern goes dormant. After the daylight hours lengthen, the small fronds reappear.

Roots:

This fern-like plant differs from other ferns in that it has dense, creeping roots that are a brown color and covered with a silvery fuzz.

The roots grow vertically and very quickly begin to outgrow their container.

These roots can reach 0.9 meters in length, and because of this feature, the fern is also called "rabbit's foot" or "squirrel's foot." The roots are not suitable for cutting.
